EverQuest II unleashes “Geeks of Summer” forum challenge
Summer is all about getting a nice tan and riding the ocean waves, but SOE is determined to make playing online games an equally bodacious activity.
With its “Geeks of Summer” forum challenge, SOE is asking EverQuest II players to send in artwork, screenshots or modified screenshots depicting their summer sojourns.These must include in-game toons, whether NPC or player-controlled, and three summer-themed items below:
BBQ grill, Beach, Beach ball(s), Beach umbrella, Bikini, Boat, Bonfire, Cabanas, Campsite, Beach buggy/car, Firepits, Fireworks, Fishing poles, Frisbee, Garden/flowers, Ice cream, Jet ski, Lounge Chairs, Nets (fishing), Palm tree(s), Picnic, Sail boat, Sand castle, Scuba diving, Sea Shells, Shark, Straw hat, Sunset, Sun glasses, Sunshine, Surfing, Swimming pool, Swimsuit, Tropical fish, Tropical fruits, Tropical drinks, Volleyballs, Waterfalls, Water/Lake.
Submit the entries at the Geeks of Summer forum thread until August 30, 2010 to win a feature at the SOE web network and an special in-game suffix title “of Norrath” for EverQuest II players.
For those wondering if a photoshoot down at the sands is allowed, the answer is a big yes. SOE said real-life pictures or any modified versions of said pictures will be accepted. So go slather on some sunscreen and soak up the sun–just be sure to take some cosplaying shots as well.
